About William

A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and Emory University, William has experience working on a breadth of legal issues, ranging from complex environmental litigation to representing clients one-on-one to recover unpaid wages.  Before opening the Law Office of William L. Tomlin, William spent over four years working for a large, corporate law firm where he gained valuable experience in a wide range of areas and learned how the law and business work.

William is prolific writer, having authored articles that have appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and professional publications on topics including mass transit, monetary exactions, and forest management.  He is a past editor of the State Bar of Georgia’s environmental law newsletter, Perspectives on Georgia’s Environment, and manages and writes the blog JD Verde.

Active in the community, William serves on two non-profit boards, Greenlaw’s Leadership Council and the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club’s Executive Committee.
